Pi vs. Tau

I have always wondered, “Is there a simpler number than Pi?” So far, the answer is that there is one, and it is called Tau. They are both Greek letters, too. Tau, or just simply known as τ would be equal to 2π which would be 6.28318530718... since π = 3.14159265359... Here are some comparisons between the two.

Pi                                                               |Tau
            π*2R=C                                                    | τ*R=C
Established after τ                                      | Established before π
More commonly thought of and used more | Less commonly thought of and used less

So τ wins by one point against π and that means τ or Tau should be used more than π or Pi according to my thoughts.
